Bed & Breakfast by the Sea
The Inn at Ferry Landing is a Bed and Breakfast on Deer Isle, Maine, 3 hours north of Portland, 1 hour southwest of Bar Harbor/Mount Desert Island. Sitting at the former ferry station, the Inn is on the water at the end of a quiet road with views of boats sailing the Eggemoggin Reach ( inspiration for songwriter Dan Fogelberg ) by and under the nearby 1939 suspension bridge which is now the only one in Maine.
The 1840 farmhouse ( an ongoing restoration project ) serves as our home, and we welcome guests as an extension of our large international family.
Each of our four guest rooms in the main house has a private bath and water view. Our 2-bedroom attached cottage (“the Mooring”) has separate entrances and full amenities. We are a non-smoking establishment.
Guests enjoy an undisturbed island atmosphere, our all-tidal beach, a wide spectrum of hiking trails, kayaking, famous local crafts, and a variety of local restaurants. Nearby attractions include Acadia National Park both on Mount Desert and Isle au Haut, the villages of Stonington, Blue Hill, Brooklin, Castine, the Wooden Boat School, and the renowned Haystack International School of Crafts.
Note that we are offering a special 2014 discount for our attached cottage, and there are weeks available this season.
