photographer, the Inn is a perfect getaway
Bed & Breakfast by the Sea
The Inn at Ferry Landing is a bed and breakfast on the ocean on Deer Isle, Maine, looking north over the Eggemoggin Reach. We are 3 hours north of Portland, Maine, 1 hour southwest of Bar Harbor. Formerly the Deer Isle ferry station, the Inn is at the end of the road with gorgeous views of schooners sailing by and under the famous nearby suspension bridge, now the only one in Maine.
The historic 1840 farmhouse ( a lovingly undertaken and ongoing restoration project ! ) serves as our home, and we welcome guests as an extension of our large international family.
Each of our four guest rooms in the main house has a private bath and water view. We have a 2-bedroom attached cottage (“the Mooring”) with separate entrances and full amenities.
Guests enjoy our all-tidal beach, famous local crafts, and a variety of local restaurants. Nearby attractions include Acadia National Park both on Mount Desert and Isle au Haut, the villages of Stonington, Blue Hill, Brooklin, Castine, the Wooden Boat School, and the Haystack International School of Crafts. Awesome sunsets and star-filled sky are part of the undisturbed island atmosphere. Jean cooks a delicious breakfast daily for guests in the main house.
Note that we are offering a special 2013 discount for our attached cottage.
